My Missionary Scripture D&C 68:6

Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you; and ye shall bear record of me, even Jesus Christ, that I am the Son of the Living God, that I was, that I am, and that I am to come.

SOMETHING COOL!!

Hey Peeps!!

Life has been crazy busy! I can't even tell you! Haha. We had a couple days this week where we didn't even see anyone because we were going like crazy! For Zone Conference and General Conferences! Man.... it's been hectic! Then our car has been freakin out! We have a 2017 Malibu. We call it "the bu" haha... 😏 we got locked out a couple times cuz the key wouldn't work again. We were waited a few minutes then it worked. And then our Tiwi (driving nazi) wasn't working so we couldn't even go anywhere for a few minutes. Something's it's just temperamental! BUT!! We are very blessed! I am super grateful for the bu!

It has been a great week to be spiritually uplifted! Zone Conference was AMAZING!! As always! I spoke again! That was fun. Always an uplifting time! Haha. General Conference was also amazing! We watched it at stake center. They encourage us to do that because it's much easier to focus that way. Nobody was able to come. ☹️ everybody is kinda dropping of the face of the earth.. 😩

Something cool! We talked to a guy in our Stake that is over the JustServe program and he hooked us up with a great service opportunity. We went to this local church and served food to those in need. It was awesome! It was awkward though because he wanted us to pose and take pictures but we didn't want to make it seem like we were just there to take pictures... but! It turned out cool so we are in this article for JustServe. It was cool! Those kinda things really open my eyes to what life is really like.

Here's our highlights!!

Becky:
We talked with her about the sacrament because she had some questions when one should take it, especially not being a member. We explained that she is still remembering the Savior as she is taking it even though she isn't renewing any covenants. We read Moroni 6:4-6 about church attendance. She understands the main reasons, but it didn't seem like she gets that this is the ONLY true church. She basically told us she has heard all of this before and she doesn't really wanted repetition or to be fed "fairy tales". She said what is going through is much deeper than "just hanging in there everything will be okay". She said she doesn't like to share what she is going through because no one can really relate, especially us because we are so young. We asked what she is looking to gain from our visits. She said lasting friendships. She also told us that what we come and share isn't really helping at this point. We told her we don't have to come visit every week but we love her and want what is best for her. She said she still wants us to visit and everything. We invited her to watch General Conference with a question in mind. Brinlee also invited her to read Alma 7 talking about how Christ knows how she feels. She seemed pretty interested.

John and Ryan:
They were both out front when we went to visit Edward Keen. They are both awesome! They were super friendly and started asking about our missions and what we do. We talked a lot about what they believe. John has met with missionaries before and someone close to him is a member, other than Edward Keen. Ryan said he believes in God but struggles with religion because he feels like a lot of it is corrupt. He mentioned paid clergy and messed up thing happening in other churches. We told him about our volunteer clergy. They asked things pertaining to the WOW, mentioned Tithing a little bit. Shared Because of Him. John said he felt like it meant that we are in and around everything. We explained that it was talking about because of Christ we have everything. Ryan didn't have any comments. They were both awesome. We invited them to meet with us and John agreed and Ryan seemed a little hesitant but it sounded like he would be there!

It was awesome! The Easter initiative came out!!! Ahh!! Go watch it!

But yeah! That's life this week!! We have been blessed! 😁

Love you all!

Love,

Sister Hood
